William (Bill) Ewen Jr

Three weeks after graduation, I left for active duty in the Navy. I attended Aviation Electronics School in Memphis, TN. From the school I was sent to Whidbey Island, WA, attached to a heavy attack bomber squardron (VAH123). (In 1987 I went back into the Navy Reserves as a Corpsman.)

While on active duty in 1964, I came home for a leave and started dating Bobbi Wagner, 4 months later we were married at NAS Whidbey Island. We will celebrate our 48th anniversary this October.

We have 2 wonderful children, their spouses, and 7 beautiful Grandaughters (aged 3 to 15). Bobbi and I have lived in Huber Heights, OH, since 1965.

After leaving the Navy, I worked at a couple of selling jobs, an office job for 10 years, and then I went to work for the Kettering Fire Dept. I served as a paramedic, company officer, and training officer. I retired in 2004. While with the fire department, I went into the Navy Reserves and retired from the Navy in 2004, also.

I enjoy reading, boating, fishing, and spending lots of time with our Grandchildren (including a couple weeks a year at Norris Lake, TN).
Being married to Bobbi has been my greatest pleasure in life.

George Ann Hodges, I thought she was dating an older boy from a different school.

Mrs. Sturm was the best teacher I encountered during my years at VB.
She went to great lengths to teach me Trig, which was the only subject I ever worked on at home.

June 6, 1962!! Graduation day, I thought I was free!!! Later discovered High School was one of the best times of my life.
